  • No Control - John can't use his powers knowingly, actively trying to use his powers comes at major disadvantage.
  • No off switch - John's powers are always on, specifically hearing other peoples thoughts and his bandages keeping him alive. Having John's powers to always be active has caused "Fear…it is so important to us puny little creatures…" to create "Bad thoughts"
  • Bad Thoughts - John hears thoughts of everyone around him 24/7, and sometimes he hears his own telling him to do stuff. It has been described to be Hyde-like in nature.
  • Large Crowds - hearing everyone's thoughts at once is too much for John to handle, everyone talking at once also makes it worse. Any crowd over 5 people will cause him to experience distress, and will eventually give him a migraine. Anything over 10 people will make him to start fidgeting, twitching, and eventually collapse and tremor.
