Johnny Frank

Basic Info:

Player: Jack

Demeanor: Johnny Frank puts off the vibe of someone that talks too much, thinks too little, and passionate, nigh idealogic hate for nerds. When he's not combing his pomp, smoking cigarettes, working on his rod, or drinking a malt, you bet you can find Johnny giving the nearest source of intellect, scholarly advancement, and even vague school appreciation the firmest wedgie.

Nature: Under all the grease, leather, and spit shine, Johnny simply lusts for freedom and rock. If he can crack open a cold cola on a warm night, a wrench in one hand and a rear axle in the other, you can bet Johnny's happy.

Description: Johnny's long hours in the auto shop have done wonders for his brute mass, layering his otherwise thick, 6'3 lumbering frame with bundles of hard won sinew. Thick in the arms and wide in the chest, Johnny's leather jacket just barely fits the extent of his muscularity. His pompadour is gelled to perfection, his mustachio but a thin whips of black, wiry hairs upon his chin and lips, and his skin is near as dark as the gleam of his jacket. His blue jeans, worn and tattered, still appear to contain the bulk of Johnny's mass, but his shoes appear to be more holes than actual coverage.

  • The King's Karate -(4) Brawn - Johnny took after his hero, the legendary King of Rock, in progressing his martial aptitude in karate. Just as capable of knocking a fella on his ass as smoking a pack in fifteen minutes, the boy ain't nothing to tussle with. Applies to Rumble rolls.
  • Float like a Butterfly - (4) Agility - Johnny's pops was a low tier boxer before the liquor and the brain damage put him out of business, but between the beatings and the yelling, he managed to teach Johnny a thing or two about ducking and weaving in a fight. Applies to Scram Rolls
  • Wise Guy - (4) Brains - Johnny's got a good sense of humor, he likes laughing as much as the next guy. His humor's a bit crass, but he's got a real sense for what's funny, and what's not. Applies to Funny Guy Rolls

Supernatural Abilities:

Radioactive Thug - 4 - Johnny's strength is unnaturally potent, he's capable of lifting and throwing objects far larger than his size with relative ease, breaking things a normal cat couldn't, and all around tussling like a elephant.
Thick Skin- 3 - Always one capable of taking a hit, Johnny's enhanced durability has allowed him to tolerate blows that might bring another less formidable to their knees, so resistant is his person. Further more, Johnny is capable of hardening individual portions of his body to aid in the defense of blows that his natural toughness could not take, at the cost of removing flexible range of motion in the area he's chosen to harden. (ETC, a balled fist incapable of being unballed as long as its hardened.

Johnny is, simply enough, dumb as a stump. He's never pretended he was intelligent, and would be happy to dispense wedgies to anyone that claimed otherwise. Still, things that might seem simplistic with a bit of applied thought end up taking more time than most for this cool cat.

List everything your character carries on their person here. Be reasonable.
A pack of cigarettes.
A zippo lighter.
A half jammed switch blade, for picking teeth and settling arguments.

And everything that they keep in their dorm at Fifth Sanctum. Anything that's not listed here or in the section above may be difficult for the character to retrieve.

  • Nudie Magazines from his pops.
  • A cozy blanket.
  • Several more packs of cigarettes.

Personal History:

Johnny's raising was a years long trial in the school of hard knocks, preyed upon by the drunken fury of his father and the bored cruelty of his mother. Yet, there was love in this rough and tumble household, and things managed to work out more often than not. Food wasn't always on the table, and Johnny couldn't remember how old some of his clothes were, but he always had rock and roll, always had the King.

Johnny idolized Elvis, his suave swagger and effortless cool, and did his best to emulate the king as best he could. Picking up karate at a community center class, Johnny made sure to apply all of his well earned martial knowledge in kicking the teeth in of anyone that made fun of his his ratty clothing. His dad employed him at the auto shop as soon as he could lift a wrench, and most afternoons were spent knee deep in oil, metal, and whatever got caught inbetween.

It all changed in when Johnny was 16, a year prior to his acceptance at the school. When Johnny ended up exposed to intense radiation in his pop’s auto shop, courtesy of his father’s backdoor chopshop getting a g-man car with the wrong kind of cargo in the trunk. Faced between bringing Johnny into the hospital and not getting caught, Johnny’s pops simply told him to walk it off. Yet, after days of roiling agony and horrible torture, Johnny felt right as rain. Better still, his strength, once simply formidable for a youth, now broke the perspective of what one defines as human. He could take a crowbar on a head with a grimace and a curse, knock a giant down with a karate chop. Johnny had come to town.

Eventually, giving wedgies to kids that kept them in the nurse’s office for a week got Johnny expelled, and before long there was only one place that would take a kid with his kind of gifts. A new school would be something, but Johnny couldn’t say he was gonna miss home.
